Made from Limnio grapes by the Achilladelis family in Limnos, this ancient sweetener is derived from cooking down grape juice for hours until it thickens into a syrup. This molasses is an excellent complement to strong cheeses (blues, Alpines, cheddars) and is a great cooking ingredient – you can drizzle it on braised vegetables or use as a glaze on meat and poultry. Or just go straight to dessert – use it instead of chocolate or caramel syrup over vanilla ice cream.
